Peterborough Engines: East Coast 'Pacifies' weren't the only engines Peterborough was famous for - the world-famous Perkins diesel engine factory is equally well known. This feature, by David Brown, brings both aspects together, using pictures taken by the Perkins photographer at the station during a works outing.
Adventures in the dark: George Heiron was one of the earliest exponents of night photography, principally around Bristol. He recalls nocturnal photographic expeditions in the 1950s and early 1960s, armed with tripod, camera and 'PF100' flashbulbs.
