Tail Lamp and Book Reviews
Cover: This month in Steam Days we cover the three Highland branch lines of the Far North, the most southerly of these being the one from The Mound to Dornoch where, eventually, even Great Western 0-6-0 pannier tanks were used. In this scene, ex-Highland Railway Drummond 0-4-4T No 55053, a regular on the line, is seen shunting stock at The Mound between branch-line duties, in July 1955.
