AS WE BEGIN OUR JOURNEY INTO THE NEXT DECADE IT'S AMAZING WHAT THE PAST TEN YEARS HAS BROUGHT US IN TERMS OF new manufacturers, bringing new kits and accessories and the continuing rise of the weathering and finishing products industry. It is now the absolute norm to want to finish your models as accurately as possible, and achieve that 'real to replica' look, and to facilitate that there are a veritable plethora of tools, paints, washes and other related products to spray, splash or stick onto a build. In the paraphrased words of a former British prime minister 'we have never had it so good'! Just wandering around the halls at the 2019 Scale Modelworld I continue to be amazed at the array of such products that are available, and the number of new items constantly being brought to our attention, and the bewildering array of opportunities to get your model as convincing as possible, and I wonder what we will have next. As we look onward in eager anticipation, two things I know are true, firstly this hobby that we love so much will continue to grow and flourish, and secondly SMMI will be with you all the way, bringing you the best in model builds, reference material and military and figure news.
