The Definitive 'Duchess' Carriage Drawings made easy Sunbeam at Birkenhead Woodside Deeds not Words No.1 Hamilton Street Boscame and Dunmere Headcode 'C' Traffic Scale Modelling'93 The Modellers' Backtrack Award From our Correspondents Book Review Colour File for Modelmakers Mostyn Signal Cabin Front Cover - This extraordinarily rare colour view of a red LMS streamlined 4-6-2 in its full glory has just come to our attention. We are proud to be the first to feature it in print and are much indebted to Mr P. Lubliner of San Diego, California, for giving permission to use his picture. It coincides with our detailed survey of this famous class and, of course, shows No.6229 Duchess of Hamilton masquerading as No.6220 Coronation, in connection with the New York World's Fair of 1939. It was taken at Flushing, USA. on the New York Central system on 30th April 1939 and clearly reveals the rich finish given to Stanier 'cheif d'oevre' before the war.
