In this issue we have a report from the Naviga 2014 World Ship Modelling Championship, some readers also no doubt seeing the models at the recent August 2014 Model Boat Convention at Haydock Park. This issue includes a Full-Size Complimentary Free Plan worth £12.50 for Ros Donn, drawn by James Pottinger. It is a traditional fishing vessel and will make for an interesting model project. In addition, Tony Dalton converts the 1:350 scale Airfix HMS Trafalgar nuclear submarine plastic kit to radio control and we welcome back Peter Whitehead with his free-sailing and self-tacking model yachts. Phil Button discusses steering control and Anthony Addams has some rather nice photographs of P. S. Monarch, a small leisure paddle steamer that would be a nice and slightly unusual model.

There are also the usual regulars including Range Finder, Around the Clubs, Readers' Models, BMPRS News and others, so I hope there is something here for everyone in these pages. Together with Colin Bishop, who looks after our website and unique model boating enthusiast forum, the magazine designer Steve Stoner and all the contributors to this magazine, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas, success for 2015 and thank you for your ongoing support for this magazine throughout 2014.
