Swindon enthusiasts were given a rare treat over the weekend of October
24/25 when King George V made a brief appearance in a live railway environment alongside fellow GWR veterans.The 1927-built 4-6-0, which last ran on the main line twenty eight years ago in 1987, took part in a line up that also included fellow National Collection engine City of Truro and Tyseleya€ s own Rood Ashton Hall.Both of the NRM locomotives were calling in at Tyseley on their way from York for display at Swindon (SR443).
