This was a time when Great Western 'Granges' were prolific on this main line on both passenger and freight trains, and in June 1960, pulling away from a signal check at Par, we see a down vans train hauled by No 6801 Aylburton Grange, one of the several 'Granges' allocated to Penzance shed at the time but withdrawn as early as October 1960 a€" the first engine of the class to be taken out of service.
