Neyland shed in West Wales, amongst its allocation over forty locomotives in the 1950s and early 1960s, always had a contingent of 'County' class 4-6-Os, and No 1001 County of Bucks, pictured here on Carmarthen shed on 25 February 1963, was a long-standing Neyland resident, having been allocated to the depot throughout the 1950s and 1960s, except for a move for nine months during 1961/62 when the Hawksworth 4-6-0 was moved to Penzance. No 1001 County of Bucks was withdrawn from Neyland on the shed's closure in September 1963.
