On The Cover - The American powerboat Slo Mo Shun was a superb piece of design and engineering by Ted Jones and, driven by Stanley Sayers, achieved a speed of 160.32 mph on Lake Washington, USA, 25th June 1950, obliterating the previous record held by Sir Malcolm Campbell with K4 Bluebird (141.74 mph).
