FiRST PARAGRAPHS OF BUILD ARTICLE:

Crackerbox is an easy-to-build semi-scale model of an almost flat-bottomed Californian raceboat. It is designed for 6/7 cells and almost any 540-sized motor can be used. The model in this article used a 22-turn modified 540, mainly because I had one lying around spare. If you were to fit a 21-turn stock motor and 6 cells "Crackerbox" would make an ideal Formula 3 boat

The drive system I used is a lightweigh submerged drive from John B Marine. These all-stainless units are used in virtually every Formula 3 and Formula 2 boat and are exactly the correct length for the "Crackerbox". The transom-mounted rudder assembly is also available from John B Marine, as is the stainless steel P32 propeller
