This month in Steam Days we take a look at the inter-city route from Edinburgh (Waverley) to Glasgow (Queen Street). From 1957, diesel multiple-units were used on services over this route, and in this scene from July 1957 a diesel unit departs from Waverley station with an afternoon train for Glasgow. Simultaneously, 'A3' Pacific No 60099 Call Boy leaves for Perth.
